 Ingredients

250g paneer, cut into cubes

2 tbsp cornflour

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 onion, diced 2-3 garlic cloves, minced

1-inch ginger, grated

2 green chilies, chopped

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp tomato ketchup

1 tbsp chili sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Spring onions for garnish

Oil for frying

 Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the paneer cubes with cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, and pepper. Ensure that the paneer is well coated.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer cubes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add a little more oil and sauté the garlic, ginger, and green chilies until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced onions and bell peppers, and cook until they are tender yet crunchy.
  5. Mix soy sauce, tomato ketchup, and chili sauce in a bowl, then add it to the pan. Stir well.
  6. Add the fried paneer cubes to the sauce and toss everything together until the paneer is coated evenly.
  7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.

* For a healthier version, you can bake the paneer cubes instead of frying them.

* Adjust the spice levels by adding more or less chili sauce according to your preference.
